PNCA to hold ‘Sufi Aman Mela’ on April 27 and 28.
The Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will hold a 2-day peace festival entitled `Sufi Mela’ here on April 27 and 28.
The festival is a part of the series arranged at Lahore, Multan and Hyderabad in last few months with the objective to provide healthy entertainment to the people and spread the peace messages of the Sufias.
The event will promote cultural activities, entertainment and awareness with the theme based on peace, harmony and brotherhood, said Tauqeer Nasir, Director General PNCA.
Eminent folk artists will present folk music accompanied by the verses of Sufi saints while various segments of the festival will highlight the teachings of Sufi saints for promoting peace and harmony in the region.
Tarranum Naz, Humaira Arshad, Rajab Ali, Rahat Multanikar, Sain Zahoor, Iqbal Bahu, Sanam Marvi, Muhsin Shoukat Ali, Sain Mushtaq, Nadeem Abbass Loonawala, Mehmooda Qamar, Rizwana Khan and Adeel Barqi will present their best melodious tones to mesmerize the residents of the twin cities.
The series of this festival was largely attended by the students and children of various educational institutions besides the residents at Multan, Lahore and Hyderabad.
